Episode 16: What Your "Core Four" Values Shouldn't be

The importance of having Core Values in your organization

The Core Values to Avoid:

  1. Aspirational in nature
i.e.: Something that your company doesn’t currently embody, but you need in able to succeed in the future.
  2. Permission to Play
    i.e.: Honesty and Integrity

Core Values = Guiding principles of how you operate today

Why do we call core values "CORE FOUR"?

Because it rhymes, and you and your team will remember them!

There is such a thing as too many Core Values. Less is more.

In summary, avoid core values that are permission to play, as these values should be a given, and also avoid aspirational in nature core values, because these are things that you want to be successful in the future, but that your company currently does not embody.

Until next time,  LEAD WELL!
